Kenosha Criterium
I know you guys are looking for your photos ... I've got 'em all saved and put in order, I just need time to pick out the best ones and upload..
Only two days left!
The Kenosha course is a 1km rectangle and FAST. Turn two is a tight left hander with a little dip right in the apex and at full speed, you can get squeezed a bit. That's why the big crowd hangs out there! In the Pro Men's race, four riders escaped early and gained a lap with 40k to go. They were Andrew Bradley (Gourmetfein - Austria), Hilton Clarke (Australia - won the 2006 US Pro Crit. Championships), Hayden Godfrey (New Zealand, 2008 World Champion Track Omnium ), Sergio Hernandez (Rock Racing - USA, won a Superweek stage in 2007).
Attacks were plentiful and it got quite confusing as little groups were forming off the front. Eventually every move was contained with the exception of the four who were a lap up, and preparations were made for a blazing field sprint.
Hilton Clarke came up with the win, Kiwi Hayden Godfrey second, and Sergio Hernandez third. A special welcome to tonight's podium girl - Oksana from the Ukraine!
